Dialogue and SL use the fast modem with error correction, but Dialogue screws its " ` " with its " ~ " characters, and UUencoded things would come thru all wrong. I have gone into Dialogue to fix this, but always seem to wind up more confused, so leave it as its non-working default. Anyway, here are the other two files, and since I see I can send more than 10k, I'll combine them into one email: Filename: asterix.doc --------------------- How to get started with Asterix: -------------------------------- A C64 Unix-like Operating System. This file is an SFX self-dissolving file, so just LOAD "ASTERIX.SFX",8 and RUN. ASTERIX will dissolve into the 30 files needed to operate. Allow enough empty space on disk for all the 30 files. You can dissolve to a newly formatted empty disk. Once dissolved, then enter: LOAD "SYSTEM",8 and RUN. You will see the system prompt ~]'. At that prompt, enter: DISK ?BOOT ; SH
