GREP 1.2 Now has two new options GREP [-v][-i][-u][-l] pattern file(s) -u Does a ASCII/PETSCII insensitive search. Call it a universal search, selecting any lines that match. Option -i is assumed, so no need to add it with this option. Case insensitive. Subsequent translation would be necessary for readability from ASCII scans (ala tr -ac2p). -l Does a line-limited search. Commodore machines are not speediest in disk access. Therefore the possibility of a short run without proceeding through the whole file can be useful. Only the first 256 lines in long files are searched. Grep will now always print the filename of all files, whether lines match, or not. Charts progress. Only other difference in GREP 1.2 is aborting somewhat easier upon STOP key pressed.
